The Location

There is truly no better place to experience the beauty of the desert! We will be staying at a private five suite adobe inn nestled in the middle of Saguaro National Park in Tucson, Arizona. The property is situated on 40 acres of land with a forest of Saguaro cacti and native plants at our footsteps.

Meet the Instructors

Kayla Fisher

Hey you guys, it’s Kayla! I am a full time wedding photographer based in Arizona + the host of Let Light In Workshop. Over the years, I've stylized and led community shootouts, mentored photographers one on one and added a team under my business, all while capturing couples love stories near and far.

I’m here to be a source of encouragement + education on tried and true strategies that have helped me get to where I am, in hopes of helping you build your dream career!! The reason for this workshop? Well, not only did I get my degree in event planning, but educating others on how to build a better business so that they can work smarter instead of harder is my jam! I believe in the importance of using strategic systems to make your life easier and your clients happier. Bringing people together and cultivating community while doing so is just the cherry on top.

Cara Mia

Hey! I’m Cara (pronounced Care-Uh) and I’m based in Utah, but I’ve been lucky enough to travel all around the world documenting love stories. I picked up a camera for the first time 3 years ago, shot my first elopement 2 years ago, and haven’t looked back since.

I was a writer before I was a photographer, and the root of everything I do is human connection, adventure, and storytelling. I think of shoots as experiences, and photos as art—all with the end goal of bringing my couples right back to how that moment felt.

I believe if you have a dream and work harder than you ever have in your life and don’t give up, the universe has a way of making it happen. It’s my goal to empower other creatives to find their unique voice as artists and storytellers, break out of their comfort zones, and find beauty anywhere from their backyard to the night sky to a remote waterfall in Iceland.

I'm based near Portland, Oregon & I've been running my photography biz for over 8. years. now! INSANE. Of those 8 years, almost 7 of them have been shooting weddings, 4 of them have been full time, and 2 of them have been also heavily focused on teaching! In the past 2 years, I've taught over 100 students in several different avenues - whether it be in my Facebook Groups (where I taught 40 hours of online content!!), one on one mentoring sessions, or in person workshops! Aside from the obvious reasons of why someone might be passionate about helping educate others & grow their businesses, I really decided to jump into teaching because I was so frustrated at the vagueness of the wedding photography teaching industry! I was tired of getting half-assed "help" from people who really didn't care to share all the nitty gritty details - which is the most important in my opinion!!!! I wanted to make a change for the better & open my business up wide for all my students to see every nook & cranny. I am passionate about the step-by-step detailed processes, about getting you set up for success & rocking a business you are hecka confident in.

What will the styled shoots be like?

We will have 4 styled shoots during our time together - 1 desert elopement, 2 adventure couples sessions, and 1 editorial bridal look. One of the couples shoots will be under the night sky to encompass the full moon and stars.

Our goal for the styled shoots is simple. To put an emphasis on diverse models, southwestern culture and desert landscape, all while incorporating the highest quality vendors to create a one of a kind look.

We are giving you the bones to create work that will serve you and bring you clients for years to come.

How do I sign up?

How many photographers will be attending?

We are limiting this workshop to 12 attendees only to keep it intimate + allow every photographer ample shooting time.
